Spring 2025
The Lumberjack's "The Politics of Belonging" issue explores navigating identity and finding a sense of belonging through different social and cultural groups and circles. Stories include coverage of the Indigenous drag scene in Flagstaff, an NAU professor teaching critical race theory amid a political climate of censorship and a compilation of six individuals sharing their cultural identity journeys.

Featured stories include coverage of a student-led effort to change the name of Flagstaff's mountain peak to its Indigenous name, two schools in Flagstaff incorporating Indigenous language and culture into their curriculum and spaces and the communication barriers within the construction field and those working to break them down.
