Every day, I continue to learn about the variety of human experiences and feel fortunate to share them through my reporting. I focus on underserved communities, which deserve more representative and comprehensive coverage than what the journalism industry has ventured to cover. I connect to the community through my reporting and believe my greatest tools are listening and empathizing, whether I am telling stories about disability groups providing and advocating for resources in the Flagstaff community or environmental and Indigenous activists' responses to an energy corporation hauling uranium through the Navajo Nation and residential communities.

As editor-in-chief of The Lumberjack, Northern Arizona University's award-winning student newspaper, I have worked with more than 150 students to move our content and delivery into the digital age. Most of my bylines are in online written pieces and photography; however, I have led various projects in video, social media and print. Through other editor roles at The Lumberjack, I have worked with design, marketing and website management.

My work has also appeared in 12News, Arizona Daily Sun, FlagLive! and AZStudents.org. See full resume here
